For over 30 years, Outdoor Adventures (OA) has been providing outdoor experiences to the NIU community which includes students, faculty, staff and the general public.
We believe the outdoors has something to offer everyone. We welcome you to visit our rental center, peruse our resources and get involved. Subscribe to our mailing list.
If you would love to experience an outdoor adventure but the expense is your only barrier, we are now accepting scholarship applications. The maximum assitance available is 50% of the trip cost. Pick your adventure, then fill out this form.
Spend your spring break doing something good for the planet. Join us as NIU OA returns to volunteer with the U.S. Forest Service in the Chattahoochee National Forest and spend a week working together with your friends and Outdoor Adventure leaders while learning about this scenic area. Our impact makes a difference in making this area more accessible for visitors allowing for a better experience of the natural world. Included in the registration fee is transportation, leadership, all meals and equipment.
