The 3-tiered rating system is to help ensure safety on trips by assisting participants to decide if they are ready and capable for specific trips. The following are general descriptions of the 3 levels and may be applied differently depending on the activities and trips.
Participants should be in good health and comfortable walking or participating in light activity for up to several hours.
Participants should be physically fit and prepared for multiple hours of moderate activity (e.g. hiking, kayaking, biking) a day.
Designed for experienced active participants in excellent physical condition and includes full-day activity.
